Update on Iron County Sheriff’s Battle with Covid-19

(Ironton) Iron County Sheriff Jeff Burkett continues to battle the coronavirus in an area hospital.

Today, we spoke with Acting-Sheriff Chris Barton. He provides the latest on Sheriff Burkett’s health.

We asked Barton if Sheriff Burkett still has double pneumonia.

Iron County Sheriff Jeff Burkett first tested positive with Covid-19 on January 15th.

It’s believed he he caught the virus from a county jail inmate he was exposed to who had Covid-19.
