Uplift Homeless Shelter in Farmington Closing

(Farmington) The East Missouri Action Agency has announced that the Uplift Overnight Homeless Shelter will close on June 12th. The shelter has been open fror over two years and has provided over 330 families and individuals a place to stay while they were homeless. The shelter is located near the Senior Nutrition Center and the old Mineral Area hospital in Farmington. The shelter has 55 beds and is nearly always full.
