VA Nurse Shawn Stutes wins DAISY Award

(FARMINGTON) A nurse from Farmington who works at the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center has won the DASIY award. Shawn Stutes was nominated by an anonymous patient, and he says the award was a surprise.

Stutes is a Marine Corps veteran who focuses on mental health nursing. He shares how he got into the profession.

Stutes is currently working on a certification to become a psychiatric nurse practitioner.
