Valle Catholic and Ellington vie for Final Four Slot

The road to the Class 2 baseball State championship continues today (Wednesday) on J98 as the Valle Catholic Warriors and Ellington Whippets meet at Alumni Field in Ste. Genevieve with a trip to the final four on the line.
The 22-9 Warriors are fighting for a their first return to the semi finals since 2016’s title run. Valle head coach Nathan Gegg says playing at home in the playoffs is a prime opportunity.
Ellington enters the quarter finals at 17-7 after claiming it’s first District Championship in 15 years. Whippets head coach Jake Kime says earning a trip to the final four over a historically winning program has his team ecstatic and ready to play.
The Class 2 State quarter finals begins with the Flieg’s Equipment Pregame Show at 4:15 p.m. with first pitch to follow on J98.
