Valle Catholic Defeats the Thayer Bobcats in Epic Fashion to Advance to the Class 1 State Semifinals

(Ste. Genevieve, Mo.) The Valle Catholic Warriors are headed to the state final four next week as they defeated the Thayer Bobcats 15-14 this afternoon on J-98.

The point after was good to make it 9-0. Thayer was able to respond with a touchdown drive of their own just before the end of the second quarter to make it 9-7 at halftime.

Midway through the third quarter, the Bobcats found the endzone once again to take their first lead of the night…

PAT was up and good to make it 14-9. That’s where the score stood until late in the fourth quarter when Valle was able to mount an impressive drive to take the lead back for good…

The two-point try was no good to keep the score at 15-14. Thayer had possession with a minute remaining on the clock when Bauman came up with a defensive play to seal the victory…
