(Sainte Genevieve) After a strong season helping to lead a dominant rushing attack, Valle Catholic lineman Noah Elbert was named to the Regional Radio Dream Team.
The junior right tackle was all-conference and all-district last year but his efforts this season were tremendous as Valle had their first 1,000 yard rusher since 2013. The Warriors averaged over 10 yards-per-carry as a team.
Elbert said it was his head coach that gave him the news.
Judd Naeger has been Valle’s coach for 18 seasons now but he can’t put all of his focus into one position group. Elbert said offensive line coach Joe Roth has been instrumental in leading the men in the trenches.
Elbert tells us what his favorite memory from this past season was.
Elbert was also named to the first-team All-Missouri Independent Team.
Valle Catholic made it to the Class 3 District 2 championship game where they lost to eventual state champions St. Mary’s. The Warriors ended the season 10-1.
