(FRANKCLAY, Mo.) – In a volleyball match which saw both sets get to extra points, it was the first-seeded Valle Catholic Warriors prevailing over the second-seeded Arcadia Valley Tigers by a final of 27-25, 31-29 to win the Class 2, District 3 title Tuesday on KREI.

AV got off to a hot start in the first, as a kill from Maddie DeMent put the Tigers up by six.

A Valle comeback, and three match points later, the Warriors ended up taking set one on this block from Hannah Drury and Hailey Weibrecht.

The second set would be nothing short of breathtaking, as Arcadia Valley avoided five match points from Valle, and ended up with two set points of their own.

In the end, a sixth match point would prove to be the difference for the Warriors, as Riley Siebert gave Valle the district title.

Warriors head coach Nancy Fischer describes the end of the second set.

With the loss, Arcadia Valley will not return to state after finishing as Class 2 runners-up last year.

Still though, head coach Tara Lamb knows her team left everything out on the floor in this one.

With the win, Valle Catholic is now 25-6-1 and moves on to the state sectionals on Saturday.
