(Ste. Genevieve) One of the winningest high school volleyball coaches in the state of Missouri seems excited about the new season which is about to begin. Nancy Fischer coaches the Valle Catholic Lady Warriors from Ste. Genevieve. The Lady Warriors brought home the 2nd place state trophy last season in Class 2. After a week of practice, we asked Coach Fischer how her new team’s looking in the early going.

We also asked Coach Fischer what kind of goals she and her team have set for this new volleyball season.

Coach Nancy Fischer and her Valle Catholic volleyball teams have won two state titles. The first was in the 1989-90 school year and the second state championship came about 20 years later during the 2010-2011 school year. Fischer’s Lady Warrior teams’ have also finished 2nd in state three times, 3rd in state twice and 4th in state once.
