Valle Catholic Warrior Sydni Basler Breaks School Career Scoring Record

(STE. GENEVIEVE) Valle Catholic Warrior Sydni Basler broke the school’s scoring record Thursday night in a 17 point effort. There was actually some controversy earlier in the week as to what the record originally was and whether or not Basler already had broke it. There were three different numbers being thrown around before 1565 was found to be the official scoring record. Sydni says that she wasn’t focused on the record so much as she was trying to win games.

The record was previously held by Kara Schilli, Sydni’s cousin. Basler, a Dream Teamer in basketball last season, says that Kara was there to support her.

Valle currently holds a record of 7-10 on the season and are 3-1 in MAAA play.
