Valle Catholic Wins Fifth Straight District Title

(Leadwood) The Valle Catholic Warriors volleyball dynasty snagged another district title tonight as they defeated the West County Bulldogs in straight sets 25-16, 25-12 and 25-20. It was the fifth straight district title for the Warriors as they improved to 27-5-2. Valle got off to a hot start and didn’t look back in any three of the sets. Set one was capped off by our Applebee’s of Farmington Player of the Game, Riley Siebert.

Siebert finished the night with 6 kills, 5 blocks and four aces. Set two was won by a nice defensive play by Ella Bertram.

Bertram finished her night with 8 blocks including two solo stuffs. Set number three was business as usual for the Warriors.

Head coach Nancy Fischer says it was a clean match for Valle.

It was more than OK as Valle Catholic improved to 27-5-2 and will take on the Woodland Cardinals (18-6-3) on Saturday in Jackson in the Class 2 Sectional round. West County’s season comes to a close at 13-7.
