Valle Catholic’s Ella Bertram Named To Dream Team For Second Straight Year

(Ste. Genevieve) End-of-season accolades are nothing new to Valle Catholic’s Ella Bertram as she was named to the Regional Radio Volleyball Dream Team for the second consecutive year. Also named all-state, all-district and all-conference, Bertram had one area of her game she wanted to improve on from last season.

The senior middle-hitter came up very strong offensively posting a .424 hitting percentage and 464 kills. With her high school volleyball career all done, Bertram says she enjoyed growing on the court with her fellow seniors.

Over her four years, Bertram helped Valle Catholic to four district championships, a second place finish in state last year and a third place finish in Class 3 this season. Though she was upset to not win a state championship, Bertram was happy to end her career with a win.

Bertram will continue her volleyball career at Mineral Area College in Park Hills and plans to study physical therapy. Valle Catholic finished the season 32-5-3.
