Valle Football Wins Third Straight “Old Settlement Rivalry” Game Over Ste. Genevieve

(Ste. Genevieve) The most recent showdown in the “Old Settlement Rivalry” had a pretty familiar feel to it. The Valle Catholic Warriors toppled Ste. Genevieve 46-0 at the home of the Dragons Friday night. Valle wasted little time after taking the opening kickoff and embarking on a seven-play, 67-yard scoring drive.

The Warriors defense forced a turnover-on-downs on the Dragons’ first offensive possession. Valle junior quarterback Chase Fallert led his team down the field and capped off an eight-play drive with a rushing touchdown.

Valle’s offense couldn’t be slowed down as they scored a touchdown on their first six drives of the game. Fallert was named our Applebee’s of Farmington Player of the Game finishing with 155 yards and a touchdown through the air and added 111 rushing yards and three scores on the ground.

Valle improves to 2-0 and will play at St. Vincent next Friday. Ste. Gen drops to 1-1 and will play Kennett next week.
