(PERRYVILLE, Mo.) – The Valle Catholic Warriors got their season started in fashion Friday night with a 36-7 win on the road against St. Vincent on J-98.

After a scoreless first quarter, Valle opened things up early in the 2nd with our Serenity Hospice Care Play of the Game.

After a broken play resulted in a 2-point conversion, Valle was up 8-0.Grass finished with nearly 100 yards combined receiving and rushing, and fellow backfield mate Cory Stoll went over 100 yards combined highlighted by 90 yards on the ground.

He had a big run to put Valle up two scores.

Down 15-0 late in the 2nd, St. Vincent entered Valle territory but turned the ball over.

Senior quarterback Chase Dunlap for Valle, our Applebee’s of Farmington Player of the Game, finished with 4 total touchdowns and made the Indians pay for the mistake.

Valle took a 22-0 lead heading into halftime, and would eventually take the contest by a final of 36-7.

Minus a few early penalties on offense, Warriors head coach Judd Naeger was pleased with the performance of his guys, and was complimentary of the Indians.

St. Vincent head coach Tim Schumer thought things went south after a pretty good start.

Naeger is excited about where Valle is compared to this same time a year ago.
