Valle Mines woman killed on I-55 at Imperial Main

(Imperial) A Valle Mines woman was killed in a single-vehicle accident on northbound I-55 at Imperial Main Street in Jefferson County Tuesday morning. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 32-year old Rachael Bailey, driving a 2000 Ford Expedition, traveled off the right side of the roadway, skidded, and the front struck the concrete bridge structure. The vehicle then caught fire and she was later pronounced dead at the scene. The accident took place just before 11 o’clock Tuesday morning.
