Valley School Farm in Caledonia to Take Next Step During Upcoming School Year

(Caledonia) F.F.A. students at the Valley School District in Caledonia and Belgrade are ready to get back to class so they can tend to the school farm.
Last school year, students mainly did some tidying up, getting the farm looking good and back into working order.
That’s according to Superintendent Jason Samples.
The Valley school farm is attached to the school campus in Caledonia.
Sandi Chamberlain will once again lead the F.F.A. and agriculture students, teaching hands-on projects on the farm and also teaching ag in the classroom.
The Valley F.F.A. Farm is located right off Highway 21, the first drive south of the ‘C’ Highway intersection.
The school farm will also once again be featured on the Washington County Home Grown Farm Tour which is scheduled for Saturday, August 26th.
The first day of the new school year at Valley R-6 is Wednesday, August 23rd.
Open house for students and parents is scheduled for Monday the 21st.
