Valley School in Caledonia Latest on Coronavirus

(Caledonia) At the start of October, the Valley School District in Caledonia had to stop all on-campus learning because of the coronavirus and went back to all virtual learning from home.

Superintedent Dr. Michael Silvey says most students and teachers are now back on campus.

Dr. Silvey says rural districts, like his in Caledonia, are having a hard time during the pandemic, finding enough substitute teachers but he says they have added a new incentive to hopefully find more subs.

One other note about the Valley School District in Caledonia, the board of education approved the hiring of Carol Blackwell as a substitute nurse for the district.
