(Hillsboro) This is the time of the year in which motorists need to pay extra attention to deer running around more often as the number of vehicle strikes is increasing. Jefferson County Sheriff Dave Marshak says members of his office have to be on high alert when traveling the county.
Sheriff Marshak says in these times, repairs take more time.
On Tuesday night, a Jefferson County Sheriff’s patrol vehicle was totaled as a result of a deer strike. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has a number of new vehicles ordered and should be arriving in the next few weeks, however, it will take additional time to outfit and modify each vehicle to fit their needs.
