(Farmington) Despite less than ideal weather conditions, a Veterans Day Ceremony was held today in Farmington in front of the St. Francois County Courthouse. Bud Davis is the commander of the Farmington VFW. We asked him why it was important to go ahead with the ceremony, in spite of the weather.

Davis says he was heartened by the crowd that did show up.

Along with the playing of Taps, today’s ceremony featured the laying of wreaths from the different veterans organizations and a 21 gun salute along with comments from Davis.
