Viburnum 4th Fireworks Display Postponed

(Viburnum) The public fireworks display scheduled for the 4th of July in Viburnum has been postponed until the weather improves.

A news release from the Quad County Fire Protection District says the fire district board of directors made that decision because of the extremely dry conditions.

They say the only way they could have the fireworks display on the 4th is if a significant rainfall takes place on or before Tuesday.

The fire department in Viburnum also says if you plan on having a private fireworks display, to make sure you use extreme caution.
