(VIBURNUM) Kinsley Payne of Viburnum Blue Jays basketball is enjoying great success as a senior this season…and that’s an understatement. Payne is a recent member of the 1,000-point club, eclipsing the mark on December 29th against the Valley Caledonia Vikings in the Kingston Christmas Invitational.

She takes us back to the moment it happened.

Payne also has a 55-point game this season against the Vikings. When asked for the reason behind these career achievements coming against Caledonia, Payne has some idea.

Payne has another record book moment this season.

Despite these feats, this season has been a bit of a transition for the 5’8 Kinsley Payne because of the team’s lack of height.

As a senior, Kinsley Payne leads the team in scoring with 27.3 points a game, leads in assists at a 2.1 clip and is second in rebounds with 7.6 a game. Viburnum currently sits at 6-5  with a game Friday at home against 4-9 Eminence.
