Viburnum High School Student Takes Flight to Wisconsin

(Viburnum) What were you doing at 17-years-old? This high school student at Viburnum flew to Oshkosh, Wisconsin on his longest cross-country trip. Only two weeks after earning his private pilot certificate. Brady Sherrow says it was a surreal experience.

Most 17-year-olds are scared to drive a car to Walmart, let alone an aircraft to another state. But Brady said his preparation and experience curved the fear.

Brady shares why he started flying.

When Brady graduates from Viburnum High school, he wants to become an aerospace engineer and eventually design the airplanes of the future. As for his next trip, Brady wants to fly to Kitty Hawk, North Carolina; the home of the Wright Brothers and the first successful airplane flight.
