Viburnum Lady Jays Runner Performs Well at State Cross Country Meet

(Viburnum) Girls cross country at Viburnum High School did not have enough runners to field an entire team this year but they did have one runner who excelled at the sport which just wrapped up for the season.

High School Principal Jamie Missey is proud of this indviduals’ accomplishments.

And by the time Wigger graduates from Viburnum, she has the potential to be an outstanding cross country runner and possibly have a real chance at winning an individual state championship in cross country.

Natalie is only a freshman this year with three more seasons of cross country to go.

Missey also tells us interest is picking up as far as girls wanting to run cross country in the future.

She says the Lady Jays may be able to field an entire team next season.

Jordan Conaway is the coach for girls and boys cross country at Viburnum High School.
