Viburnum Man Arrested on Several Child Pornography Felonies – Updated

(Viburnum)  A Viburnum man was arrested this week in Iron County on felony child pornography charges.

According to the arrest report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 27-year-old Kristopher L. Cain is facing one count of first degree promoting child porn and four counts of possession of child porn.

Investigators executed a search warrant Wednesday at Cain’s home in Viburnum on Crescent Drive.

During a search of Cain’s cell phone, investigators discovered videos of child porn.

Cain apparently admitted to police that he downloaded child porn over the last year on his phone.

The highway patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control encourages internet users to promptly report to law enforcement anyone who attempts to engage in unwanted, inappropriate or sexualized communications with children.

Since the Iron County Jail in Ironton is being renovated, Cain was taken to the Madison County Jail in Fredericktown.

As of right now, no initial court date has been set for Cain.
