Viburnum Turning from Blue to Pink This Thursday Evening

(Viburnum) The Viburnum Blue Jays Pink Out basketball games take place Thursday evening at the Elmer P. Beard Gymnasium.

This event, sponsored by the Viburnum Booster Club, raises funds each year, that will stay local to help those who are battling some form of cancer.

Booster club member Brenda Wilkinson would like to see a full house for this important fundraising event.

This year, all the money raised from the Blue Jay Pink Out games will go to Viburnum Elementary School student Brayden Harper and his family.

Brayden had recently been diagnosed with Burkitt’s Lymphoma and he has currently been going through a series of treatments.

Thursday evening’s Pink Out at the gym features both Blue Jay varsity teams taking on Ellington.

The first game gets underway at 5 o’clock.
