Poston was released after two years in the minors due to a misunderstanding by the Cardinal’s GM. He says he was hurt so badly by the release that he quit baseball. He then went to work for the St. Joe Lead Company. He now lives in Carthage and has been a State Farm Insurance Agent for over 30 years.
