Victim killed in High Ridge residential fire identified

(High Ridge) Authorities have released the name of the victim killed in a residential fire early Monday morning in the 3100 block of Ruby Drive in High Ridge.

Once fire crews had the blaze under control they found 67-year-old Charles P. Willingham deceased inside the home.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell says arson detectives with the sheriff’s office and Missouri State Fire Marshal’s Office investigated the case.

According to the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office, Willingham died from smoke inhalation.

The fire occurred shortly after 3 on Monday morning.
