Voters Elect New State Representative in the 115th District

(Jefferson County) A new state representative in the 115th District has been decided during Tuesdays election.

Republican Cyndi Buchheit-Courtway of Festus won the election by 72 percent of the vote over Democrat challenger Cynthia Nugent of Ste. Genevieve County.

Buchheit-Courtway is looking forward to the opportunity to serve the people of southern Jefferson, northern Ste. Genevieve and St. Francois Counties.

Previously Elaine Gannon held the seat in the 115th District for four terms, and will now become a State Senator in District 3 after winning the August Primary race and did not have an opponent in Tuesdays election.

Buchheit-Courtway received 11,855 votes compared to Nugent’s 4,494 votes.
