Walking trail planned for Crites Memorial Park in Festus

(Festus) Anyone that has visited Larry G. Crites Memorial Park in Festus has walked or ridden a bicycle around the back loop of the park which also is used for vehicles to get to the back pavilion for gatherings and such. Well, the city is planning to add a separate route for walking and biking only. Festus City Administrator Greg Camp says the current roadway has become very congested at times.

Camp says the trail will certainly be tied into many of the amenities in that area.

The work to add the dedicated walking trail in Crites Memorial Park will begin later this year.
