The John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Cape Girardeau will host a Wall of Valor induction ceremony Friday, February 16th. The ceremony, as part of National Salute to Veteran Patients Week, will honor veterans for their heroic actions. Dale Garrett has details about the ceremony.
The event marks the 27th year for the Wall of Valor ceremony, initially called the Wall of Honor ceremony. Garrett stresses the importance of this yearly event.
Following the ceremony, the four honored veterans will be featured on the facility’s electronic Wall of Valor. Among those four being honored is a man from Bollinger County. If you know somebody that has previously earned a medal in combat, they can also be honored.
The Wall of Valor ceremony will start at 11 o’clock on Friday the 16th at the John J. Pershing V.A. Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
