The Washington County Farm Bureau will host a public meeting Friday night. Jim Reed is the president of the farm bureau board of directors. He says anyone is welcome to attend.

Reed says this particular nuisance bird, which is federally protected, has been in Washington County for some time now.

We asked Reed if it’s easy to differentiate between the two vulture species.

The public meeting on black vultures, feral hogs and other related topics gets underway at 6 Friday night at the Y.M.C.A. Trout Lodge at Sunnen Lake. Take Highway 8 or 185 to ‘A-A’ Highway in Washington County and follow the signs to the lodge.
