Washington County Local Contested Races & Issue Results

(Potosi) 47.7-percent of registered voters in Washington County cast their ballots for this November election.

In the two contested races, republican John Jones IV had no problem defeating the incumbent…democrat Josh Hedgecorth.

For the 118th District state representative race, republican Mike McGirl won his home county of Washington and neighboring Franklin County.

McGirl defeats democrat Sally Brooks.

Also, voters in the city of Potosi said no when it came to the local use tax question.

There were 397 no votes to 165 yes votes.
