Water rescue at Rockford Beach in High Ridge

(High Ridge) There was another incident at Rockford Beach Park in High Ridge. Early Thursday morning, the High Ridge Fire Protection District was called to a water rescue situation on the Big River. High Ridge Fire Chief John Barton says the call came in around 12:30 Thursday morning.
Once the man was checked by medical personnel, he was taken into custody by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office due to the fact the subject was in the park after hours. The park closes every evening at dusk.
Chief Barton says they continue to have isolated problems at the park.
Rockford Beach will remain open this weekend after being closed to the public the past two weekends due to overcrowding.
