West Co/Kingston and St. Pius/Jefferson Class 3 District Semis on J-98

(Frankclay) We’ll broadcast the semifinals in Class Three District 3 from West County Monday on J-98. First up it’s top seed and 17-4 West County against Kingston 9-15-1. West County beat Kingston 12-3 a week ago and received a bye as the top seed, but the Cougars are feeling good after their 8-7 win in the first round over Arcadia Valley.
Most coaches rely on the heart of their order, but West County skipper Bobby Simily also likes what he’s seen out of the top and bottom of his lineup…

Then second seeded and 18-6 St. Pius plays Jefferson 8-14. The Lancers are ranked third in the state and have won eight in a row, but coach Dan Oliver thinks they can reach another gear…

Pius has beaten Jefferson twice this season and received a first round bye. Jefferson took care of Grandview 13-3 in the first round on Saturday were competitive with the Lancers in both losses. Bluejays coach Robert Kuehnle looks forward to the matchup…
