West County Baseball Begins Quest For State Title Versus Valley Park Monday On KREI

The West County Bulldogs baseball team will look to continue their roll on Monday as they host Sectionals against the Valley Park Hawks on AM 800 KREI. West County is 20-6 and fresh off of their third straight Class 3, District 3 title. This year’s edition saw the Bulldogs defeat Grandview, fourth-ranked St. Pius, and Herculaneum.
Head coach John Simily says it was a tough district.
With several arms that can be trusted on the mound, Simily thinks his team will be difficult to beat.
Meanwhile, Valley Park is 17-6 after a Class 3, District 4 title. The Eagles started off the season 0-4 but have only lost twice since. Both West County and Valley Park are receiving votes in the state rankings.
