West County Baseball Field Will Have Lights Next Season

(FRANKCLAY, Mo.) – The baseball field at West County High School made some great memories this past season.
A Class 3, District 3 title, a mind-blowing walk-off victory in state sectionals, and countless others.
But speaking of that district title, the tournament highlighted one issue with the new field for the Bulldogs, and that was the lack of field lights.
On the day of the quarterfinals, the night game between Arcadia Valley and Herculaneum had to be played a few minutes away on the old field, as it had lights and the skies were growing dark.
That won’t be a problem going forward though, as head coach of the West County baseball team John Simily tells us they are finishing up installing the lights on Friday.
Simily says the process has been lengthy but rewarding.
And Simily views the new lights as the final piece of the puzzle for the baseball field.
The field lights at West County High School will be ready for the Spring 2020 season.
