West County Faces Hancock In Class 3 Baseball Sectionals

(ST. LOUIS) – Playoff baseball returns to AM-800 KREI as the Class 3 state sectionals take place Tuesday afternoon. After capturing their third district title in four years, the West County Bulldogs look to advance in the state tournament against the Hancock Tigers. The Bulldogs are 16-4 this year after finishing third in the state a season ago. Head coach John Simily says the resiliancy from his players is what led to another Class 3 District 3 title.
West County defeated Hancock 13-0 in the sectional round last season. The Tigers are 14-9 after claimed the District 4 title for the second straight year. Head coach Dan Knox he knows how tough the Bulldogs can be.
First pitch between West County and Hancock is set for 3 p.m. Monday afternoon at Heine Meine Field in St. Louis. Pregame coverage starts at 2:45 p.m. on AM-800 KREI.
