(Springfield) West County finished 4th in Class Three girls basketball. The Bulldogs lost to Strafford 64-34 in the third place game Friday in Springfield.

Strafford stretched the lead to 16 at 26-10, but the hot shooting Lilly James cut the lead to single digits right before the half…

That was as close as the Bulldogs would get the rest of the way, as Strafford pushed the lead to as many as 32 points in the second half. West County turned it over 32 times, but outrebounded Strafford 32-16.

West County finishes the year at 24-6 and qualified for their first final four in school history in girls basketball.
