West County Homecoming Festivities Pushed Back a Couple Weeks
January 11, 2024 7:15PM CST
(Frankclay) Homecoming Week at West County High School in Frankclay took place Monday through Thursday of this week.
However, bitter cold in the forecast has forced district officials to push back the Friday assemblies and coronation to Friday, January 26th.
Principal James Abel says the students still had fun with Spirit Week.
He says Friday the 26th will now be the big day for Homecoming festivities at West County.
Abel says the fun actually begins that Friday morning.
The West County Homecoming Queen and King Coronation will take place in between the junior varsity and varsity basketball games Friday night the 26th.
The Bulldogs will host Valle Catholic.
The homecoming dance was also pushed back.
It will now take place Saturday night the 27th from 7 until 10 at the gymnasium at West County.
The West County/Arcadia Valley boys basketball games scheduled for this Friday night are still a go but just no homecoming activities.
