West County Takes on Ste. Genevieve in Big Girls Hoops Matchup

(Park Hills) The West County girls’ basketball team hosts Ste. Genevieve tonight in a matchup of two of the best teams in the area. The Bulldogs lost their first game of the season on Monday to the Central Rebels and sit at 9-1 on the season. Head coach Bobby Simily knows this match-up will be difficult because the Dragons are a hard team to prepare for.

The Dragons started this season with a second-place finish in the Central Christmas Tournament losing to the Rebels in the championship. With a 5-4 record, the Dragons look to continue growing and improving. Head coach Jordanna Walk-Robison says her team has a target on their back and every game they get every team’s best shot.

Dori McRaven leads the Bulldogs’ team and has played well throughout the season. Walk-Robison, like many other coaches in the area, knows how dangerous McRaven can be.

For Simily, turnovers will be a big factor in this game.

The game tips off at 7:30 tonight with the Flieg’s Equipment Pregame Show starting at 7:15 on the MyMOInfo SportStream.
