West County Visits Valle In Key MAAA Small School Matchup

(STE. GENEVIEVE, Mo.) – Two of the top baseball teams in the MAAA Small School Conference will battle it out Wednesday afternoon as the Valle Catholic Warriors host the West County Bulldogs. Both teams have not lost a game in longer than a week and sit in the top three of the regular season conference standings. The Warriors come in with a 15-3-1 record and are tied for the top spot in the Class 2 state rankings. Warriors coach Nathan Gegg said the offensive production has picked up for his team.
Now at 12-3 overall, West County has also found its stride lately, earning eight consecutive victories prior to Wednesday. Bulldogs coach John Simily said they have benefited from some good pitching performances.
First pitch is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon from Alumni Field in Ste. Genevieve. The Flieg’s Equipment Pregame Show will begin at 4:15 p.m. on AM-800 KREI.
