West County’s Alivia Simily Commits To UHSP For Track And Basketball

(Leadwood) West County Bulldogs Senior Alivia Simily announced her commitment to play basketball and run track at the University of Health Sciences & Pharmacy in St. Louis. Simily says that it was easy to choose UHSP because she always had a love for science.

She also has a love for both track and basketball. Being able to play both sports at the next level is another big reason that Simily chose to become a part of the Eutectics family.

Last year for the Lady Bulldogs Basketball squad, Simly was a key facilitator for their final four run to Springfield. The Dream Team point guard averaged 11 points and 6 assists for West County, and while Simily prefers to dish to her teammates, she says improving her jumper is the key to her transition to the college game.

West County’s Girls Basketball Team finished 4th in the State in Class 3 last year and Simily placed 8th in Long Jump and 4th in Triple Jump at the Class 2 Girls State Track Meet.
