West County’s Alivia Simily Earns A Spot Back On Girls Basketball Dream Team

(Leadwood) The West County Lady Bulldogs just completed the best two-year stretch in program history with back-to-back 4th place finishes in Class 3. One of the stars on the team, point guard Alivia Simily, was named to the Regional Radio Girls Basketball Dream Team for the second straight year. Simily says it’s an honor to get that recognition from the area coaches…

The West County community has given the team lots of support throughout their run, including making the trek to Springfield each year. Simily says it didn’t go unnoticed…

The foundation of the team was built on five seniors and one junior: Simily, Gracie Wright, Lilly James, Bailey Skiles and Morgan Simily along with junior Lexi Hedgcorth. Simily says this group has been playing sports for as long as she can remember…

Simily averaged 9 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds and 3 steals per game this year. She thinks some of her best basketball was played during the stretch run of the season…

Simily wanted to give a shoutout to some of her folks…

A two-time all-state selection, Simily will continue to play basketball and compete in track & field at the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis.
