West County’s CJ Wright to Take Over MAC Softball
(Park Hills) West County softball coach CJ Wright has accepted the same position at Mineral Area College. Wright has spent the last 11 seasons as coach of the Bulldogs, where he led West County to eight MAAA Conference Championships, four district titles, and finished as the state runner up this past season. Wright also has coached club teams, the Louisville Lady Sluggers and the Mineral Area Bandits. In 2018 his 16U team finished as the Fastpitch America Softball Association National Champions. CJ is a graduate of West County, Mineral Area College and Lincoln University. He played baseball for MAC and Sam Houston State and Lincoln. MAC finished this past season at 7-43.
