West County’s Roney Finishes High School Career As Athlete Of The Week

(LEADWOOD, Mo.) – Senior Hayden Roney of the West County Bulldogs baseball team finished out a strong season and earned recognition as the Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy “Play It Forward” Athlete of the Week. Roney helped his team reach the state quarterfinals for the fourth time in five years by hitting two homers in the sectional game against Valley Park. Roney said despite elimination, he is satisfied with how he finished his high school career.
But Roney’s baseball playing career is not over. Next year, he will become a part of the baseball program at Missouri Baptist University.
As the Athlete of the Week, Roney chose to send $25 from Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy to the Farmington Ministerial Alliance.
