West County’s Roney Finishes Season Strong, Named Athlete Of The Week

(LEADWOOD, Mo.) – Despite the season coming to an end for the West County Bulldogs baseball team, senior Hayden Roney’s performance in the state tournament earned him Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy “Play It Forward” Athlete of the Week honors. Roney hit two home runs in the sectional round against Valley Park and pitched six innings in the quarterfinal game against Saxony Lutheran. Bulldogs coach John Simily said Roney has been a huge part of his team’s success over the last few years.
As the Athlete of the Week, Roney will receive a t-shirt, a certificate and the chance to pick a local charity to receive a $25 donation from Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy.
