Windsor and Hillsboro Boys End Seasons in District Semi’s

(BONNE TERRE)    It will be the Cape Central Tigers against the Sikeston Bulldogs playing for the Class 5 District 1 Boys District Championship Monday at North County High School. The semi-final games for that district were heard Friday night on AM 1400 KJFF and mymoinfo.com

Cape Central moves their record to 26-2 as they beat Windsor 84=51. Windsor ends their season with a record of 19-8.
Windsor was led in scoring by Layton Hollis who had 20 points. Brenton Shirk added 14 more for the Owls.  Cape Central was led in scoring by Jaydon Reynolds and Cameron Williams who each scored 18 points.

In the second semifinal game, Sikeston beat Hillsboro 77-57. Sikeston improves to 21-7 and Hillsboro closes out their season with a record of 21-7.  For the Hawks, Noah Holland scored 26 points.  Sikeston was led by Dontrez Williams who scored 17.

Sikeston led by ten at the half and by 13 at the close of the third quarter.

Hillsboro head coach Brian Sucharski says the Hawks began to get behind towards the end of the first half.

Sucharski says the team tried to be more patient at the beginning of the second half.

Monday night’s Boys Class 5 District 1 championship game at North County High School between Cape Central and Sikeston will tip-off at 6.
