Windsor boys’ hoops heading in new direction

(Imperial) The Windsor Owls might look quite a bit different this season in boys’ basketball, but don’t judge the book by its cover.

First-year head coach Ryan McArthy might be stepping into a program that graduated 4 starters and is dealing with a pandemic, but he likes what his young pups have shown in preseason practice.

Leading the charge for Windsor will be senior point guard Sonny Amabile, who was second on the team in scoring and first in assists with almost 11 points and 4 dimes a game last year.

McArthy says he’s trying to help Amabile realize his full potential.

Windsor won its season opener with Mehlville 70-68 on Monday night.
