Windsor Boys Soccer Brings Back Squad Capable of Three-Peating as District Champs
(IMPERIAL) The Windsor boys soccer program is coming off consecutive district championships, knocking off Hillsboro 3-0 in 2017 and again last year 2-1 in overtime off a header from Tanner Berry.
Head Coach Chris Krueger says that Berry is back for his senior year.
Grant Siegel will be returning as a senior forward after scoring 11 goals out of that position last season.
There will be a couple of changes defensively for the Owls with the graduation of Alex Barton and Jake Mahon. Coach Krueger begins with returning junior Tyler Bellew.
Last but not least is a check of the goalkeeper position. Jared Tanner, who has been a part of the last two district titles, returns in net for the Owls.
The Windsor soccer Owls opened the season on Tuesday in the Windsor Tournament against Fox and lost 5-3. Windsor will now face St. Mary’s in the Loser’s Bracket Wednesday night at 6.
