Windsor boys’ soccer looking to seize momentum from senior surge

(Imperial) Windsor boys’ soccer started to find its stride late last season.

The Owls won 5 games in a 7-game stretch at the end of September, then snapped a 7-game losing streak by upsetting Festus in the Class 3 District 2 semifinals.

Head coach Chris Krueger says his team finally settled in during the second half of 2019.

While top goal-scorers Tanner Berry and Grant Siegel have departed, senior Max Kimbrough comes back after scoring 7 goals last season.

But Krueger believes the strength of the team will be a veteran group of defenders and new goalkeeper Andrew Tanner.

This is Krueger’s 4th season as the Owls’ head man, so this senior class has been with him from the start.

As such, he’s talked with them about trying to leave a legacy.

Windsor starts the 2020 season by playing the Pacific Tournament starting on September 8th.
