(IMPERIAL) The Windsor girls soccer team is headed back to the State Sectionals after defeating Hillsboro 1-0 in the Class 3 District 2 championship match on Wednesday.

The Owls are making their first trip back to the Sectionals since 2014 and 3rd time under head coach Mike Hutchison. He says that there was a sense of relief among his players after clinching the district crown.

 
Coach Hutchison has noticed that everyone at the school is pretty plugged into what the Owls have been able to accomplish and have shown their excitement for the team.

 
Jordan Kolinski scored the game-winning goal against Hillsboro with the assist to teammate Symphony Schodroski. Piper Montgomery got the 5-save shutout in goal for the Owls.

The Class 3 Sectional match on Tuesday against Cape Central will kick-off at 6 p.m. in Cape Girardeau. Cape Central beat the Owls 4-0 during the regular season back on March 26th.
